Movie The Host 2013

The Twilight Saga may have been bled dry on the big screen but for fans of author Stephenie Meyer's storytelling, there's a new film on the way.
No sparkly vampire romance this time, but it's still supernatural. Meyer's The Host focuses on possession by an alien race.
And new teaser banners have been unveiled in the run-up to the upcoming release of the film adaptation.



 Choose to Love, Choose to Fight or Choose to Believe, the new posters implore viewers.

 The Host stars Saoirse Ronan (Atonement, Hanna, The Lovely Bones), Diane Kruger (Troy, Inglorious Basterds), Max Irons (Red Riding Hood, Dorian Gray), Jake Abel (Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, I Am Number Four) and Oscar-winner William Hurt (The Good Shepherd, The Incredible Hulk) and is directed by Andrew Niccol (The Truman Show, Attaca).


Here's the official synopsis:
From Stephenie Meyer (author of The Twilight Saga) comes The Host, a love story set in the future, where Earth is occupied by a species who erase the minds of their human hosts, leaving their bodies intact.
Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan) is one of the last surviving humans who fights back, risking her life for the people she cares about most - Jared (Max Irons), Ian (Jake Abel), her brother Jamie (Chandler Canterbury) and her uncle Jeb (William Hurt) - proving that love can conquer all.

 The Host is released in the UK by Entertainment Film Distributors on March 29, 2013.
